How our deposit & reservation system works:
- First, we will always make sure our kids are of the best quality possible from that breeding before we sell. A kid with defects or undesirable traits will never be sold as a breeding animal and instead sold as a pet. We reserve the right to make this choice as we know our goats best and can recognize potential problems earlier.
- A $100 deposit is required for each separate kid and the deposit goes towards the purchase price of the kid.
- If a kid ends up not being available that year (either from us retaining one or from others ahead of you getting one first, you will be given the option to stay on the list for the next year or get a full refund) However, if a kid is available and you decline to purchase, you forfeit your deposit.
- Please read our full sales agreement HERE before proceeding. Filling out our registration form means you read and agree to the terms of our sales agreement:)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
We live in the East Valley of Phoenix, Arizona.Ā
- HOW MUCH ARE YOUR BABY GOATS?
They range from $150 as wethers (castrated males) to $1000 as our highest quality milking doelings. It depends on the goat and its milking & champion genetics.
- DO YOU SHIP BABY GOATS?
Shipping on average will be an additional $500-$700. We are willing to coordinate with you for ground transport, as long as you do all of the work to arrange it & pay for it. There are various ground transports like Tarr Valley Farm Transportation, Schulte Country Transport, Five Star Livestock Transport. You can also join this facebook group to find people who can help transport.
(We don't do international shipping with our baby goats -- it's too much time spent in a cage.)
- HOW SOON CAN THEY BE WEANED?
Our babies are ready to leave at around the 8-10 week mark. At this point, they will be eating alfalfa & pasture browse and will be fully weaned. However, some can go earlier as bottle fed babies if you desire:)
- ARE THESE BABIES REGISTERED?
All of our babies are registered through ADGA. We register them online for you and the paperwork will be transferred to you upon pickup.
- ARE THESE BABIES BOTTLE-FED OR DAM-RAISED?
We do a hybrid method to ensure the babies are friendly towards humans, are fed well in the early stages of life, but are also raised with other goats. All of our babies are able to take a bottle if needed.
- ARE THESE BABIES VACCINATED?
Yes, we vaccinate for CD&T at 8 weeks and 12 weeks. If you pick up a kid earlier than these ages, we'll send the vaccine home with you.
- ARE THEIR HORNS REMOVED?
Yes, we always disbud our baby goats when they are about a week old. We believe this makes for a safer herd, as goats often fight with each other, can get caught in a fence, or harm a human when they have horns.
- WHAT IS YOUR COCCIDIA PROTOCOL?
We treat with Calf Pro (Lasalocid) starting at 1 week old, and also introduce a grower feed containing Deccox. The kids also have access to deworming herbs daily which helps support their immune response. We run our own fecal tests during weaning time to make sure there are no underlying coccidiosis infections, so you can be assured that your kids will be healthy, strong and have very low levels of coccidia, if any at all. However, know that coccidia lives everywhere and that almost every goat has it living in their intestinal tract. Kids are most susceptible to flareups during times of stress but as they get older they develop an immune response and are able to keep coccidia levels low. Follow our feeding protocol in our online course to prevent stress after relocation and your kids will be just fine.
- ARE THE MALES CASTRATED?
We castrate most of our males -- but ultimately it depends on the pairing and what we believe will be the best genetic potential to improve the Nigerian Dwarf breed. Only the highest quality males will go as bucklings for breeding.
- IS YOUR HERD TESTED FOR CAE/CL & DISEASE-FREE?
Our farm tests annually for CAE, CL, Johne's Disease, & Q Fever, and have always had negative results. You can see our yearly tests here.
- I'M NEW TO OWNING GOATS, WHERE CAN I GO FOR BEGINNER GOAT QUESTIONS?
Congrats! When you purchase through me, you will be given access to my online course "The Complete Guide to Raising Goats" (a $75 value) This contains everything you need to know to make you feel confident in goat ownership!
