Honey comes from my own personal goal to "try my darnedest to improve this line" 🤣. Her dam, Tilly, comes from a beautiful herd established in the 1960's, and I'm determined to do what I can to improve, so I've bred her to various sires see what works best with her genetics. I wasn't too hopeful, but then came Honey. Honey is everything you want to see in a doeling. She's long, level, and has a beautiful open chest. Her rump is wide and her rear leg angulation is spot on. She is a favorite around here and we're hoping her mammary system is promising. Each doeling we retained out of Tilly didn't quite meet the mammary standard we were looking for, but this year we see a lot of promise in Honey and are hoping we can continue a line through her and see how much change we can make generation after generation.
